VERY RARE PATTERN President George W Bush Official Inaugural 70mm Medal

Proposed pattern for the Official Bronze Inaugural medal 70mm (2 3/4) for the Inauguration of President George W. Bush in 2001 by MedalCraft Mint. This proposed design varies greatly from the actual adopted design in that the obverse features President George Walker Bush with his full name vs. The adopted design of George W.

Bush (with abbreviated middle initial) and Presidential facsimile signature of President Bush that was also omitted on the final adopted obverse design. The reverse design is as was adopted but omitting the nice red, white, and blue enamel process that was deemed too expensive to mass produce in a cost effective manner.

These pattern medal die strike offerings are very rare to find and were stuck in very small numbers mainly for distribution to Inaugural Committee members and a small number of VIP RNC folks for consideration on the final design for the Official Presidential Inaugural medal for President George W. Medal is in exceptional GEM uncirculated condition and still housed in its original red presentation box and wooden display stand as issued.
